Life is full of…

                                    … choices!
life

Surely not again?
Yes, there are times when we just don’t
… want to have to make another choice.

Yet, life is full of choices!
However keep in mind the reality,
that with every choice that needs to be made,
… there are also possibilities
and opportunities to go HIGHER!

The choice is ours
whether to stay where we’re at, with what we know,
or to reach for the higher life,
as did the apostle Paul,

I press toward the goal for the prize
of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
      Philippians 3 14

And this is a reality,
… not only in our daily natural life
… and in what we can achieve,
but even more importantly,
… to go higher with God
and in all that He has planned and purposed for us!

      For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
      which God prepared before and
that we should walk in them.
      Ephesians 2 10

What you see…

                                 …determines what you’ll be!
life

Where there is no vision, the people perish:
      Proverbs 29 18

What you see … determines what you’ll be!
Or as a well known saying goes
seeing is believing!
Now, this may not sound very scriptural,
… yet the reality is …
What you don’t see yourself as being or doing,
… you will never experience
… you will never achieve.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
      Proverbs 23 7

Because what you think,
… the pictures you make in your mind,
… that you see yourself doing or becoming,
is what becomes real to you,
… and what becomes alive in you!

Stumbling around in the dark gets you nowhere,
… but what you visualize and see yourself as doing or being,
is what can become real to you and real in you!
In fact, God has got a picture for your life…

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
      Jeremiah 29 11

and He says to us…

Call to Me, and I will answer you,
and show you great and mighty things,
      which you do not know.
      Jeremiah 33 3

What you think …

                                 determines your destination!
life

Where you will be tomorrow,
… depends on what you are thinking today,
and thus allowing yourself to become exposed to!

In fact the Bible encourages us to…

      bringing every thought into captivity
      to the obedience of Christ,
      2 Corinthians 10:5

What you are thinking about – IS important!
Because …

      Whatever you think about
      – will determine how you feel!
      Whatever you feel
      – will determine the decisions you make!
      The decisions you make
      – will determine your actions!
      The actions you take
      – will determine your habits!
      Your habits
      – will determine your character!
      Your character
      – determines your destination!

Your destination therefore is determined by
– what you think!

The denial of reality…

                                 …negating what is!
life

Just as darkness is the absence of light,
… and black is the absence of colour,
so evil is the absence of good,
… of what is real,
… of what is right!

It is the denial of what is true,
and therefore cannot exist on its own.

It is in opposition to God,
… the negative of what is good,
thereby opposing creation and existence itself!

It is for this very reason that
… God told Adam NOT to eat,
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Knowing what is good,
… and that evil is the opposite thereof,
… is sufficient,
because by partaking of evil,
… you are in fact denying what is good,
… the reality of God, of life
and of creation itself.

But he who does the truth comes to the light,
that his deeds may be clearly seen,
that they have been done in God.
      John 3 21

Easy to believe and easy to use,
because we see it changing and filling our lives!

Did you know that there is a REAL world inside the Bible?

A world that may seem equally unreal, but shows you
      … ‘unbelievable’ possibilities and opportunities
… that are available to you.

      Phil 4 19

Getting to love … God

life

We all want to have that knowledge or confidence
… that God knows us.

But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him
      1Cor.8 3

So the question is…
How do we love God?

The same way He loved you,
… by giving His all, His life (in Jesus) for you!
You give all that you are – to Him!

How do you do that?
You believe that you are loved,
and you start living love!

      You give Him your hands,
… the things you do, you do for Him.
      You give Him your thoughts,
… you put your decisions in His hands.
      You give Him your eyes,
… you look where you can do something for Him.
      You give Him your actions,
… you reach out in love to His creation
      You give Him your heart,
… in which He already shed His love,

Beloved, if God so loved us,
we also ought to love one another.
      1 John 4 11

A reasonable excuse…

                                    …or lying to yourself?

What do we do or say
… when things went wrong
… or when we did something wrong?
We make excuses!

      However are those excuses valid
… or are we lying to ourselves?

But … I don’t lie to myself!
Really?

      The reality is that,
… every time we make an excuse
… we are lying to our self!

An excuse is simply a justification,
… trying to justify something
… that was actually NOT right in the first place.

It is covering up the truth,
… instead of facing what is wrong
      and doing what is right!

Whereas … when you give a reason
why something is as it is,
your are exposing the truth.
… as well as what actually happened,
thus taking the responsibility,
… so that what there should be, can be!

For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed,
nor hidden that will not be known.
      Luke 12 2

Small faith – Big results

                                    …a seed in the ground!

Faith is not just about big things
in fact faith is really always about the small things.

So often we ask of God,
… then we wait for an answer from God
and as often it seems that nothing is happening,
… and that God also is not saying anything!

NOT TRUE…
God always answers,
and He will supply our need according to His riches.
So why then do I not hear?
Why is nothing happening?

God’s Kingdom is based on the principle of
seedtime and harvest (Gen. 8:22)
As Jesus explained in so many of His parables,
… and He even compared faith to a seed.

if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’
and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you
      Matt 17 20

It seems that God mostly answers our prayers
… and our request, by giving us a seed.
A seed, that if we receive it and plant it
… then He will take us to the next step of His answer!
As the Bible also says,

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower,
      and bread for food,
supply and multiply the seed you have sown
and increase the fruits of your righteousness
      2 Cor 9:10

The absence of…

                                 …what is real!

There are many things that actually are not,
… yet are perceived by us as real.
Such as for instance darkness.
We so often even say this darkness is so thick
… you can cut it with a knife!

      However, darkness is a non-entity,
… and if you don’t believe that,
… then go ahead and prove it as being real!
Well at least you can try!

Go into a room that is full of light,
and switch on darkness!!!
You cannot, no matter how you try,
… it is simply impossible,
because there is NO switch to turn darkness on or off!

So, what then is darkness?
Darkness is quite simply the absence of light,
and therefore, if you want darkness,
… you have to switch off light!
In other words, you have to remove light,
… or remove yourself from the light.

Look up at the sky at night,
… what do you ‘SEE’?
Nothing – except where something actually reflects light,
… like the moon, stars, etc.
Otherwise all there is, is NOTHING,
a nothing that we call darkness!

      Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you;
he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.
      John 12 35

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light
we have fellowship with one another…
      1 John 1 7

A vision – for the future

                                       where do you see yourself?
life

What vision do you have for your life?
What plans are you making?

      In other words …
      Where do you see yourself?
      Because, where you see yourself
… is where you are going to land up.

Our minds are always active,
… continually making pictures.

Pictures that we need to look at,
random thoughts that we need to consider,
… where do they come from?

In fact, Scripture urges us to …
      take every thought captive
      2 Cor 10 5

For not every thought is positive
… nor is every picture of real value,
and should not simply be acted upon,
… but scrutinized in relation to a standard or value.

Therefore Scripture urges us to bring those thoughts …
into the structure of life shaped by Christ.
      2 Cor 10 5 (The Message)

Then our thoughts will have focus and structure,
… our plans will have potential,
and our vision will lead us
into the fullness of His blessings.
