Time and the eternal …

Ever wondered what eternity really is?

      What is it?
How do you describe or define it?

Actually, eternity is very easy to define or explain!
But in explaining or defining eternity,
… let me ask you this question.

What limits our understanding of eternity?
Time, or more accurately, our concept of time,
which seems to limit or restrict everything!

Therefore, simply remove time and you have eternity!
If you remove time, what you are left with is – NOW!
      … the eternal now,
… the now that never ends!
Eternity therefore is simply – NOW!

As God also said to us

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
      Hebrews 13:8

Although one question remains…
How does this affect my time on earth?

What I don’t do now, I may never do!
However, I have all of now to do what I should do
and if I need help, ask God who said

I will never leave you nor forsake you.
      Hebrews 13:5

He is always there
… waiting for us to reach out to Him – NOW!

The love of art …

                                    … the art of love!

What is art?
The expression of me,
… of my thoughts and my feelings.
The way I see things,
… the way I think.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
      Proverbs 23 7

What is love?
The expression of my inner image
… of my heart, my character, of my Creator.
The Image of God in me!

      So God created man in His own image;
      – male and female He created them.
      Genesis 1 27

And what is that image?
The image and character of God!

God is love, and he who abides in love
abides in God, and God in him.
      1John 4 16

A viral attack…

                                    … fight back!

It may seem that your body, life and livelihood are under attack,
… but in reality it’s your mind that is being targeted.

Are you being hacked,
… your mind bombarded by negative, accusing thoughts?
You need an anti-virus!
if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy
      — meditate on these things.
      Phil 4 8-9

Are you being bombarded with thoughts,
… making it difficult to think straight?
You need a firewall!
casting down arguments and every high thing …
bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
      2 Cor 10 4-5

Is your fellowship with God being hindered,
… your relationship and communication with God obstructed?
Get the help of a real professional.

Let the Holy Spirit reboot your system!
the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you and bring to remembrance things I said to you.
      John 14 26

And let the Holy Spirit give you an upgrade!
      He will guide you into all truth;
and He will tell you things to come.
      John 16 13

Beware of the Trojan and Worm, that will try to corrupt your thinking!
causing you to think and speak negative thoughts,
… and even causing you to judge others?
You need the love anti-virus!
And above all things have fervent love for one another,
for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
      1 Peter 4 8 (Psalm 34 12-13)

Living by faith

… in the power of LOVE!

The just shall live by faith.
      Romans 1 17

Yet Paul also added to this, saying

      And now abide faith, hope, love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
      1 Corinthians 13 13

How can that be?
Should I live by faith or by love?

Well, consider this…
Can a man move a mountain? – No!
Can God move a mountain? – Yes!
And we also know that…

God is love, and he who abides in love
abides in God, and God in him.
      1 John 4 16

So, since God is love,
… and He can move mountains,
it is obvious that …
if I live by faith in LOVE
then LOVE in me – can move a mountain!

For we through the Spirit eagerly wait
the hope of righteousness by faith.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
      nor uncircumcision avails anything,
      – but faith working through love. –
      Galatians 5 5-6

      Living by faith
in the power of Love Himself!

What you see…

                                 …determines what you’ll be!

Where there is no vision, the people perish:
      Proverbs 29 18

What you see … determines what you’ll be!
Or as a well known saying goes
seeing is believing!
Now, this may not sound very scriptural,
… yet the reality is …
What you don’t see yourself as being or doing,
… you will never experience
… you will never achieve.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
      Proverbs 23 7

Because what you think,
… the pictures you make in your mind,
… that you see yourself doing or becoming,
is what becomes real to you,
… and what becomes alive in you!

Stumbling around in the dark gets you nowhere,
… but what you visualize and see yourself as doing or being,
is what can become real to you and real in you!
In fact, God has got a picture for your life…

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
      Jeremiah 29 11

and He says to us…

Call to Me, and I will answer you,
and show you great and mighty things,
      which you do not know.
      Jeremiah 33 3

What you think …

                                 determines your destination!

Where you will be tomorrow,
… depends on what you are thinking today,
and thus allowing yourself to become exposed to!

In fact the Bible encourages us to…

      bringing every thought into captivity
      to the obedience of Christ,
      2 Corinthians 10:5

What you are thinking about – IS important!
Because …

      Whatever you think about
      – will determine how you feel!
      Whatever you feel
      – will determine the decisions you make!
      The decisions you make
      – will determine your actions!
      The actions you take
      – will determine your habits!
      Your habits
      – will determine your character!
      Your character
      – determines your destination!

Your destination therefore is determined by
– what you think!

Need to know…

                                 Then you need – G.P.S.

Looking for an answer, for direction?
Needing to know where to go, or what to do?

Well, obviously you can Google it,
… you can read literature or watch a video,
… even ask around for advice or guidance!
don’t run off with what someone else said,
… or even with what they told you God said to them,
taking it as a word God also meant for you!
No! No! No!
You MUST hear God for yourself!

It is like someone telling you about their super holiday,
… fantastic accommodation, beach, sites, food etc.,
and getting there is easy, just follow these instructions!
But, is that really for you?
Will the way there be the same for you?

Listening to advice or someone else’s experience is great,
… but is that really for you?
Maybe – BUT – you better do your own research!
And …
before you start off, put on your own GPS
– God’s Positioning Service –
more commonly known as ‘praying in the Spirit’
Make the Holy Spirit your guide,
… and let the Words of Jesus give you peace.

Have a great day … with Him and in Him!

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth:
      for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will show you things to come.
      John 16:13

In the center of Love

                                 in the heart of God!

Now hope does not disappoint because
the love of God has been poured out in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit who was given to us
           Rom 5 5

       Thank You.
   Thank You.
Thank You.

We have
known and believed the love that God has for us.
       1John 4 16

God is love, and he who abides in love
abides in God, and God in him.
       1John 4 16

knowing that
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,
       1John 4 18

and therefore
We love You because You first loved us.
       1John 4 19

as You are, so are we in this world.
       1 John 4 17

and now
      abide faith, hope, love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
       1 Corinthians 13 13

quite simply because
      Love never fails.
       1 Corinthians 13 8

In His provision…

                                 …by His Spirit!

Do you want God
… to truly be God in your life?
Do you want God
… to do all that He promised in your life?
Then start depending on Him!

Not just by finding what He promised in His Word!
Not just by confessing His Word!
Not by ‘5 steps’ to receiving God’s promises!
      But … by His Spirit

Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,
      Says the Lord of hosts.
      Zech 4:6

For this very reason God gave us the Holy Spirit,
… to be our helper, teacher and guide.
Let Him guide you into all truth.
Let Him show you things to come,
and most importantly,
let Him be the power of God in your life.

      Now we have received,
not the spirit of the world,
but the Spirit who is from God,
that we might know the things
that have been freely given to us by God.

And that we walk in and may become,
… all that God planned for us to be.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
      these are sons of God.
      Rom 8 14

                                 Life in abundance!

Mostly when we talk about prosperity,
… we are talking about money and the things we have,
but is that God’s idea of prosperity?

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
      3 John 2-3

Why does God want us to prosper?
Not primarily so that we have,
… but so that we have to give.

True prosperity is having more than you need,
for the specific purpose that you will have
– seed in your hands to give –

      Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
      Psalm 35 27

God not only wants us to give
but He desires that we be prosperous in all things
… able and free to abundantly give!

I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.
      John 10 10
