There is no time…

                                                … only opportunity!
life

… I have no time for this!
… I have run out of time!
… If only I had more time!

Sayings that we so often use,
… yet they are actually incorrect,
because,
the only thing that time causes – is pressure!

Stop and think!
In God’s creation, in Heaven and in eternity,
there is no time – only events!

Seriously?
Yes!
So how does this work?

I have no time, because I need no time!
However what I do need is
      … answers
      … direction
      … purpose
      … vision
      and a goal (Him)

Then I have all that I need
and it didn’t take any time!

So…
Have a great time – living without time (pressure)!

      Behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.
      2 Cor 6 2

A vision – for the future

                                       where do you see yourself?
life

What vision do you have for your life?
What plans are you making?

      In other words …
      Where do you see yourself?
      Because, where you see yourself
… is where you are going to land up.

Our minds are always active,
… continually making pictures.

Pictures that we need to look at,
random thoughts that we need to consider,
… where do they come from?

In fact, Scripture urges us to …
      take every thought captive
      2 Cor 10 5

For not every thought is positive
… nor is every picture of real value,
and should not simply be acted upon,
… but scrutinized in relation to a standard or value.

Therefore Scripture urges us to bring those thoughts …
into the structure of life shaped by Christ.
      2 Cor 10 5 (The Message)

Then our thoughts will have focus and structure,
… our plans will have potential,
and our vision will lead us
into the fullness of His blessings.

More than just living

                                          … abiding in Life!

in Him we live and move and have our being,
      Acts 17 28

And so we do … (or should do),
but unless we are also alive in Him
… our lives will be rather empty, and
… without victory over the challenges of life!

Why?
What is living all about?
Where you live is where your stuff is.
Where you live is where you get your mail.
And yes, it can also be a place of potential,
… as Jesus very clearly said,

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you.
      John 15 7

On the other hand, as Jesus also explained,
… to abide is an action and is all about
… what you DO where you are!

Therefore,
if you live AND move AND have your being – in Him,
and allow His words to abide in you,
… responding to and acting on them,
THEN …
the potential that God has provided for us,
… will become ALIVE in you
and you will have victory over life’s challenges
… and His promises will manifest in you!

If you are willing and obedient,
      You shall eat the good of the land;
      Isa 1 19

Dresses for success

                                      … in His power!
life

Life is full of challenges
… and no one can live your life for you,
but you have available to you, what it takes for you to win!

be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armour of God. – Eph 6 10-11

But what is this armour of God all about?
Your Lifestyle – living what is available to you!

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,
Surround yourself with the knowledge of His Word.
having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Become sure in yourself that God IS for you!
shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace,
Then go and share that peace that is in you!
above all, taking the shield of faith
If YOU dare believe, all things are possible (Mark 9 23)
you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one
Because what you have in you is bigger than your problem!
And take the helmet of salvation
And don’t let any thought or pressure take what YOU have!
and the sword of the Spirit,
The Holy Spirit is there to be your helper
      which is the word of God;
Take hold of and believe what He promised
… then simply speak His word into every situation!

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit
STAY connected and His power will flow
… in and through your life!

being watchful to this end.– Eph 6 14-18
And NEVER let your guard down!

Remember,
in Him you are a success going somewhere to happen!

Under pressure…?

                                      Check those thoughts out!
life

Our minds are constantly busy with impressions
… and being bombarded with thoughts,
which tends to put us under pressure
… to have to respond or make a decision.

      What exactly are those thoughts?
They are impressions or pictures that our minds make
… based on what we saw, heard or were asked.
However so often there is a pressure to make a decision,
… even though the picture may still be unclear!
      STOP!
Do not run into a picture you have not checked out
… or that you have not obtained outside information on.

Do not allow any kind of demand to pressurize you
… into making a decision or giving an answer
before that picture has become clear
… and you have gained some independent input!

How?
by bringing every thought into captivity
      to the obedience of Christ
      2 Corinthians 10 5

Take your picture to Jesus,
… and let Him show you what you’ve not seen.
He will make the picture clear, the pressure disappear
… and give you peace to make the right decision.

      Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
      John 14 27

A Personal …

                                            … relationship!

A personal relationship is not a relationship
… where you are setting the pace
… where you are determining the goal,
and what you want or desire is foremost,

But a personal relationship is one in which
… you are free to open yourself to the other
… free to receive from each other
where you can give yourself without expectations
… simply as you are without any conditions.

God, who is love, is reaching out to us,
… and He desires to have not just a personal
… but an intimate relationship with us.

A relationship through which He can give into our lives
without any conditions or expectations.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights,
with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
      James 1 17

And all we need do is to say
thank you Lord, here am I.

The Source

                                                    … of life!

One of the most powerful statements in the Bible is …

I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.
      John 10 10

The question is
… how do we get, and how do we live, that life?

And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.
He who comes to Me shall never hunger,

and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
      John 6 35

Jesus was obviously not talking about physical life
but spiritual life – in Him,
that, if we receive that from Him,
our lives are totally changed!

      Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
      old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.
      2 Cor 5 17-18

And it is as we receive what Jesus has prepared,
as we partake of that life in Him,
… and live our lives through Him,
that we step into that life more abundant.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you.
      John 15 7

Step into the source,
… the source of life that is in Him!

Acknowledge Him

                                          in all your ways!

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths.
      Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
      and strength to your bones.
      Prov 3 6-8

What a wonderful promise.
How will it happen?
Often when you start believing and trusting God
… for your health, wisdom, opportunities or prosperity,
… that’s when everything seems to go wrong.
Your mind gets bombarded with divisive and negative thoughts,
… and even negative people trying to influence you.

So what do you do?
How do you acknowledge God in all your ways?
By doing what the Bible tells us to do,

casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
      2Cor 10 5

You stand against those thoughts,
… by countering them with what God’s Word says.
That is how you acknowledge God,
… and allow Him to direct your path through His Word,
That is not being wise in your own eyes,
… when you follow His instructions and do things His way!

And …
It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.
      Prov 3 8

Thoughts…

                                         … now what?

Life is full of questions…

      Don’t analyse thoughts with thoughts,
… you will get lost in a maze,
and lose where you started in the first place!

Analyse thoughts with words,
… that is the dynamics of a Think-tank!
In fact the Bible encourages us to go even further…

      bringing every thought into captivity
      to the obedience of Christ.
      2Cor. 10 5

Don’t counter thoughts with thoughts!
… Counter thoughts with words!
Always make sure that you are using a filter,
… a standard that you know and can trust!

      In other words,
… do not allow pressure to drive you,
… do not allow need to push you,
      and most of all,
… do not make gain your standard
but make the benefit of others your standard.

A Challenge

                                     … and not a problem!

So often when things go wrong in our lives
… and we don’t know what to do,
God is normally the one we blame!

‘I must have done something wrong
… and God’s letting this happen!’

Let no one say when he is tempted,
‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil,
nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
      James 1 13

God does not cause the problems in our lives,
… neither does God use problems to teach us something!
God is not the creator of problems, but He is an overcomer,
… and He challenges us to also be overcomers!

      Problems sow doubt.
      Challenges demand action!

Yes, God does have an answer for every question,
      … and a solution for every challenge in life;
in fact, He has already overcome.
All we need do is to ask Him how!

So, stop looking at everything that confronts you,
as a problem,
rather see the challenge that is before you.

If you see those things that happen in life as a challenge,
God can make you an overcomer,
… by showing you the solution!

1Cor 10:13… will also make the way of escape,
John 16:13… and He will tell you things to come.
